Oil Spill in Gulf of Mexico

I have only just heard about the Oil spill in the gulf of mexico. (unsure how as I hear it started on 20th April!) Not wanting to sound selfish, but does anyone know if this will affect the Cancun area? Of course this is a disaster wherever it affects for wildlife and ecosystems, but Cancun is where i am going on holiday in 6 weeks, so hence the interest!

At the moment is affecting certain areas on the coast of North America e.g. Louisianna and is heading towards Florida. It is quite a long way from Mexico.
Look at the map of the gulf of mexico in this link. Although Cancun doesn't look very far away, the Gulf of Mesico is huge.
