By Ship/cruise...
The cruises tend to be 3, 5 or 7 day durations and take in a few Greek islands. The only alternative is to fly and has to be via Athens for Rhodes.
The only other way may be to take a flight from the North of Cyprus with Turkish Airlines (from Ercan airport) to Dalaman and then take the hydrofoil to Rhodes - or, there is a fast ferry that goes from Kyrenia main harbour (not the tourist harbour) to Mersin on the mainland and you may be able to get from there...
interestring. it's quite shocking that there are no ferries between limassol and rhodes.. but thanks!

The only other alternative off the top of my head is you may be able to see if Thomson have a ship that operates between the 2 destinations as they will let you book accommodation only. But of course, that depends on when you will want to travel and if the itinerary they are operating permits it within your time span.
The only "proper" ferry is with Grimaldi which is a freighter and travels between UK and Cyprus via Italy. I found this for you. It makes interesting reading:
thank you

I'm not sure why it would be shocking - the two islands are some 250 miles apart and come under two different jurisdictions. It would appear that a ferry company called Salamis used to have a once a week service in each direction between Limassol and Rhodes as part of week long meander around the Eastern Med linking Port Said, Limassol and Rhodes on route to Piraeus but the service now comes up as 'suspended until further notice' on their website. From the timetable it was an 18 hr overnight journey in each direction and has probably closed down due to lack of business - I imagine that there weren't enough passengers to keep the route financially viable because I think it unlikely that there was much call for travel between the two islands.

Thank you- I did find a ferry between Marmaris in Turkey and Rhodes. I guess this makes sence- travel distance was only one hour.
