July 23 rd and Cheap , that word and that date do not go together .
Start of the ( English ) school hols . Reading this forum , i get the idea from more experienced visitors to Turkey ( and those that choose Ai) that Ai and cheap is another thing to avoid. Also good flight times are now probably fully booked.
My bill for 'only' 3 adults for ten days flying on the 24th is £4500.
Booked months ago.
I wish you success and hope other more knowledgeable readers can help you.

No I certainly wouldnt go cheap . What you are looking for is a "bargain " and unfortunately there arn't many of those around . You could look at the club sun city in Olu Deniz . Normally get a good price there as lot's of competition . Ok it's not luxury but is a good standard . We enjoyed it there and you have the benefit of being in the centre of Olu Deniz which is an A/I prize of it's own .

also have a look at The Yelken, Kadikale resort and the Salmakis . All in Turgutries on the bodrum coast . My friend booked not so long ago and she ended up booking the Salmakis with TC at a reasonable price .

Yes i understand I was never going to get an amazing deal for those dates, ive been qouted around £350 for that week so far, i'll have to keep on looking i guess_ I did think about waiting till last minute for a cheap deal? but then i guess it could backfire and i may not get anything at all?
Thanks for all your comments so far anyway.

With due respect £350 A/I on your dates IS a Bargain.

Read up on the accommodation being offered, and providing it gets a few decent reviews, my advice would be get it booked.

I have to agree that £350 AI during school hols is a bargain. Just be careful, with a price like that, I'd make sure I'd do some research to see what you're getting. Have you read many reviews on the hotel? what's it called? If it is halfway decent, I'd grab it now!

Dave,

The problem with cheap Ai hotels in Turkey is that you really do get what you pay for and if you get a rock bottom bargain holiday then you wont get a good quality hotel. The rooms will be very basic, often they aren't even particularly clean, and the food is going to be mediocre quality, bland and repetative. So do be very careful of what you book and read up about hotels first. Cheap and AI really don't mix well in Turkey I'm afraid.

I have a 3 year old and there is no way I would take her to one of those cheap AI hotels, I have heard too many bad stories about them.

There are still some good bargains out there. Like most folks on here say, do not go AI to a cheap one in Turkey. Generally the food and drink quality is not that good.

I would recommend that you get a flight and go self catering. Try http://www.otbeach.com and a transfer via http://www.transferonly.com. This can sometimes work out much cheaper

I wouldn't advise cheap AI. We went on one where it was less than £20 for 4 people per day AI. We did go with low expectations as it was very cheap (flights weren't bad either) and we were just desperate to get out there. BUT even for that price, we did expect hot water to be able to make a cup of tea/coffee in the morning...luckily we had brought a kettle and teabags. We were also only allowed cold water or orange squash during the day, and there was never any lunch.

Cheap AI specalist here  and not just Turkey......

Just had a look at the company we are using this year and a week at the same hotel we are using is coming in at £1073 for all of you but not inc transfers.

The hotel is rated 5* but I expect a good 3 to 4* at these prices and from the reviews
We used a similar 5* last year and it was certainly good value if not 5*.

Don't expect Ultra AI for these sort of prices but it's all about your expectations.

John

Ooops - wrong dates - make that £1430 :(

Thats still a good price John123. i've just sorted out cheap hols for my daughter who decided late on to come on hols with us. B&B with jewell in Crown £369. Doing it DIY was £338 flight and £80 B&B hotel and £20 ish transfer going from Manchester.

Our AI hols at L'etoile in Icmeler cost around £2400 booked last August for 2 Adults and a 14 year old for departure on 23 July.

This time of year its the flights thats the dearest bit.

i'd be grabbing the £350 deal.
