That's not fair, because it's not about avoiding bars in Benidorm or whether they are child friendly, the place is big enough to avoid whole areas if you want to. I've been avoiding Brit bars for years.
And you're right the Spanish Gov do send their pensioners to the hotels, but they do not pay the same as other tourists and they are only sent to a selected few hotels within the scheme, and the whole Brit scene would collapse if you were going to rely on Spanish pensioners keeping them open.
Avoiding these large groups of people in the resort is not the problem, but you can't avoid them in your hotel, especially if you get a room next to them or worse still having a room sandwiched between two groups, and it's bad enough as an adult being woken up at stupid hours, but what if you've got a couple of kiddies.? And it's not just the odd one night.
I have also come across some nasty and vicious upper class people.

I don't see what that has got to do with the discussion, I'm certainly not categorising people or would want to imply that stag/hen groups are somehow "inferior" to me, although meeting them before they go out on the town and meeting them when they come back into the hotel, I do wonder if they are the same people.

personally I've never had a problem with stag/hen groups!

It's just the look of the draw!

The most annoying people we've suffered were
a family in the appt above, baby crying all night
and getting up at 7 in the morning.

I've been known to stay out till 4 or 5 in the morning
but try to be considerate to other guests on the way in.

people will always annoy other people in 1 way or another!

to blame benidorm itself for this is unfair IMO.

Hooray for positive people like Fatboy and Rennie!!! And sanji, hmm I seem to remember having this problem with you before!!!!! Anyone who disagrees with your views is "arguing" with you...

I live here all year round, I don't just visit for 2 weeks at a time and believe me, I have walked the streets looking for tumbledown in January/February(!), due to the lack of people, the closed bars, the closed shops. A 2 week holiday gives you a great taste of the place, but it doesn't give you the bigger picture.

I won't be fooled into being drawn into any more "arguments" or "debates", because I'm being made to look the bad guy while others who air their views are glorified....

You obviously can't hold a discussion and have to resort to sarky personal comments, and nobody is trying to make you look the "bad guy", but maybe we should call some threads in here the Benidorm ex-pats appreciation society.
You live there, well bully for you, don't you think some of us might know people who live in Benidorm apart from you.?
How about we put you and your baby in a hotel next to these people and see if you'd like being woken up at stupid hours...oh I forgot, we the paying public are supposed to put up with anything, just as long as some poxy bar can stay open.

Tell you what, you go look around the internet and see the amount of people who are complaining about these groups and who are not coming back to Benidorm because of them, and then tell me I'm the only one who can't look at the bigger picture.

Have a good day.....
