nato8835,
Some flights have been changed since I last printed the Monarch aircraft schedule. ZB640 was operated by an A321-200 up to 12th May, however it's now an A330-200 since 19th May. ZB649 is still showing as an A321-200. There's only one cabin configuration on the A332's that's used on all flights. Row 6 is in the premium cabin, however it's only extra legroom seating and not the full premium product.

Somehow I found my way to the section for extras i saw the scheduled bit and didnt have those flight codes so didnt go on that bit.
The bit i found must have been in the archives or something lol.
The holiday was booked via Jewell in the Crown so perhaps the booking ref beginning with DD was linked to Monarch. Jewell said they couldnt do leg room seats they could only do guaranteed sitting together, hence having a mooch around Monarchs website and being on hold for a while.
Its all very confusing, but at least Monarch acknowledge the request and confirm if you can have the seats or whatever you've asked for within 3 days (allegedly).

I am only asking as the very few extra legroom seats on the A300 are taken and was thinking that if they change the aircraft for say a A321 that I may be able to upgrade at the check in desk.
Aircraft schedules are put together many months in advance. Although they do change from time to time for operational reasons, it's not often. It's unlikely your flight will be changed this close to the departure date. Even though the online seat selection may show the flight as only half full, that's not to say the actual number of passengers booked on the flight is reflected by this. Not everyone chooses their seats in advance and many will check-in at the airport and have their seating allocated at that point. This wouldn't show online. Even if the aircraft is changed, those that already have extra legroom seating booked with be given priority.
Darren
Yeah I was just hoping that it could be changed to an A321 as they have more upgraded seats, but I had a feeling that what you said would be the case, never mind crushed knees it is..lol
Thanks again for your help
I booked on ZB516/ZB517 to Barcelona on the 13th to 20th July. At first it was listed as an A320 but now on the seating plan the flight seems to be an A321. I'm not too sure whether to prebook the seats now as the aircraft might be changed.
Are you able to confirm it will be a 321 mate ?
Many Thanks
Mike
Welcome onboard
Don't worry about being a new user, we were all new at some stage! MAN-BCN-MAN (ZB516/7) are operated by an Airbus A321-200. you'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

We are flying from Luton to Lanzarote on Oct 2, returning on the 9th.
Monarch flight numbers are ZD74 on the way out and ZD75 on the way back.
We paid for extra legroom and they gave us row 1 seats E & F but now I am reading that these dont have as much room....can anyone clarify?
Thanks!!!
Cheers for that Darren. What are the loads generally like on these flights, I mean being a 6ft 6"r would it be worth booking the premium seats or are there usually empty seats to stretch over ?
As row 1 is behind a bulkhead (A320), although they are extra legroom seats and provide more seat pitch than standard seats, those with longer legs may not be able to strech them out fully. I've sat in them and found them to have plenty of room though.

Due to fly Edinburgh to Dalaman on Mon 28th June, 0700 hrs. Had booked holiday with Thomsons but tickets arrived today and flight is Monarch. Do you know (a) what type of plane it will be and (b) is it possible to book extra leg-room for only one person in a party of 6. Myself, friends and kids do not need extra leg-room but hubby is 6'2" and struggles without extra space.
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information. I would assume this is a subcharter and is likely to be an Airbus A320-200 or Boeing 757-200. You'll have to speak to your agent / tour operator about the availability of extra legroom seating.
Darren
Monarch are using an A320 out of Edinburgh this year. Sarahbecky detailed information here about how she made a request with Monarch for extra legroom seats on her Monarch charter flight. This information is also available on Monarch's seating - upgrade to extra legroom seats - charter flights section of the website under FAQ's.
The A320 operates Mon-Thur out of Edinburgh and the front 7 rows are extra legroom seating, as well as the 2 over wing exit rows. As Dazbo has also mentioned you may also want to contact your tour operator to see if they can book it for you.
Have a great holiday
The confirmation says you cant choose which seats you have though and the usual phrase that the seats may be separated by an aisle.
Am impressed that actually they have some leg room seats even if on certain flights only that you can have children in, I could have done with them on our TC flight.
Bev
Thanks.
MAN-MJT-MAN (MOM1874/5) will be operated by a Boeing 757-200, by the aircraft that's operating MON7124/5 at the moment, G-DAJB.
Darren
Thanks AGAIN, Darren.
