I've never been, but my friend has & she said it was very Irish/British bars type of resort.

If you haven't already done so please read our resort reports :-

hi Candida - We've been there 4 times & yes it is very British, but you can find an occasional tapas bar up the side streets where you can enjoy the "menu el dia" which is usually tapas.

it is quite british, but as already stated there are traditional tapas bars and restaurants along the side streets.try the road where the hotel pionero is situated.however our favourite restaurant was called "the terrace" which you would find a short walk along the side of the bay which i would call the quiet end, very traditional/spanish and excellent food.phil

For a traditional Spanish restaurant try Meson del Rey , Calle Puig del Teix 7. this is a side road just opposite the beach. the restaurant is situated at the end of the road, but as you are walking down you will pass numerous Tapas bars, where the locals hang out.
This is a fabulous restaurant and no more expensive than anywhere else and the food is great and the service is excellent.
