I dont know much about the Hermes hotel only that it is situated near where we stay in the Armutulan area of Marmaris. The location is good as its a busy little area with lots going on. Its just next to Armutulan Sqiuare where the dolmus station is. You can easily get a dolmus from there into the beachfront or Marina/BarStreet area, it will take maybe 10 minutes. The buses run every few minutes.

We love the Armutulan area but if you want to venture further getting around is very easy.

Stayed here a few years ago, used the place the first week then went into Marmaris most day's so only used the hotel for sleeping. it all depends what you are looking for from a hotel.

Thanks very much for the info. I was also wondering as ive never been to turkey before reccomnedations on the jeep safaris and boat trips. also how far is it to icmeler from marmaris?

Icmeler is 10-15 minutes from Marmaris on a Dolmus and 45 minutes by water taxi. If you do a forum search, you'll find lots of information in relation to jeep safari's and boat trips. For example;

Hi Everyone,

Just back from a wonderful holiday in Marmaris stayed at the Hermes Hotel which I have stayed there about 4 years ago and it wasnt very nice.

It has been refurbished for 2010 it was absolutely fantastic, our room had a queen size bed sheets and towels changed every 3 days the pool cleaned and water checked every night, the food was lovely cooked to perfection they had some sort of entertainment every night.

Mehmet the co owner there meets and greets people every night any problems sorted immediately without fuss.

The cost of stopping at this hotel was £45 per person for 2 weeks and the standards were brilliant
