Hi gaz. Me and my friend are in Síllot/Sa Coma at the moment. Both resorts have a gorgeous beach, lovely promenade and loads of different bars and restaurants. Good for walking to Cala Millor and Cala Bona. Porto Cristo is nice to visit for the day and its only a short bus ride away (the Caves of Drach are there). We are going to take a boat trip to Cala Ratjada tomorrow or Monday. Dont know what the weather will be like but dont imagine it will be very busy because a lot of the bars are very quiet at the moment and it´s July. All inclusive is killing the resort of Sa Coma. Any other questions, just ask.

Well,it was a fantastic weekend break....but Sa Coma and all the resorts are struggling with the All inclusive hotels. A few bars have closed and none of the restaurants were busy at all. Where once you struggled for tables...not any more. On the walk fron Sa Coma to Silllot on the main road, loads of shops have closed also due to the Spanish Economy. Prices vary in bars...Around 2.50 euros for a pint of beer.....try El Sol in Sa Coma for a meal....very nice, or Kings Head for a massive plate of food at decent prices. Please visit the Bar Cristobal (The British Sports Bar) in Sa Coma, I've known Gabriel the owner and his famliy for nearly 20 years...great bar with Air Conditioning....3 big screens for TV....pool tables....air hockey and most important of all....fantastic Mallorcan hospitality!!

Hi. We enjoyed our weekend but found it very quiet and to be honest, this year, we didn't have one memorable meal :( . In fact, when we go next year we are thinking of half board somewhere like the Marfil Playa. . We ate in Ses Ones, which was fine at lunchtime for Spanish/Mallorca snacks but in the evening we were very disappointed. I ordered chicken stuffed with cheese and spinach and was expecting a nice chicken breast with fresh spinach etc but when it arrived it was a couple of cheap, frozen breadcrumbed things urgh. My friend ordered steak with eggs and it turned out to be very thin slices of pork :que . To add insult to injury they brought our starters and mains together. Had a nice meal at Cafe del Mar and at the Port y Mar in Sillot. If full English breakfast is your thing, then try the Britannia. We had breakfast on the day we came home and it was lovely; nicely cooked and big portions for 4.5 euros. We did visit Gabriel every night while we were there. He is a great bloke and he deserves all the business he can get in these difficult times. Kings Head and Britannia still cornering the market if you like tribute bands and karaoke but even they weren't that busy. Didn't manage a boat trip cos of too many late nights at Gabriels :rofl. Prices were on a par with England for food and drink.
