Hu'bby and I got back from Olu on Monday evening. We had a lovely 2 weeks B&B at the Karbel Hotel. Apart from buying the 4 nights for the price of 3 'open buffet' at the hotel, we ate out every evening. The prices below are average prices we paid. Note that these are the prices on the main strip and side streets- We didn't eat at the front at all as the restaurants there were a lot more expensive and we had more than enough choice elsewhere.
chicken/beef dishes=19-29 TL (with the most choice being around 25tl (roughly £11-£12)
set chinese menu (eg. soup + spring rolls + any beef/chicken dish + rice/noodles) = 23TL (£10.50)
deserts = 5-6TL
large efes = 4-6 TL (glasses everywhere looked smaller than pints)
spirits (in my opinion ridiculously priced)-
local spirits =7.5-9TL (£3.20- £4)- only choice everywhere was Raki, Gin, Vodka, Brandy- no Rum or local equivalent of Bacardi.
Imported spirits e.g. Bacardi, whiskey, Malibu, Baileys = 12-15TI (£5.70)
glass of wine= 7tl (£3.10)
jug of Sangria = 30TL
fishbowl = 40TL
cocktails= On the menus they were priced at between 12-15 tL but we could usually get them cheaper. Boards advertised cocktail of the day for 10 TL and if you caught happy hour they were all 9 or 10TL.
