Hi All
As part of our honeymoon, we are staying for 2 nights at the Xara Palace in Mdina. Unfortunately our booking is on a room-only basis and breakfast at the hotel looks very expensive. Can anyone tell me if there any cafes in Mdina that are likely to serve a reasonably priced breakfast? Or is there some sort of bakery/shop where we could buy something instead?
Firstly I hope you have a lovely honeymoon at the Xara Palace, it is a lovely small exclusive hotel which I am sure you will love.

There are a few small cafes & restaurants in Mdina however they are not really your breakfast type, more lunch and dinner if you know what I mean, your best idea is to take a 5 minute walk out of Mdina in to Rabat which is the town just outside the city walls and have breakfast in one of the cafes located there.
There is a lovely small cafe further in to Mdina called the Fontanella Tea Garden which serves light meals and snacks and is a great place to sit and enjoy the view.
