Hi,
I had an accident at the Aqua Park in Sunny Beach. Which I slipped on some VERY slippery steps & broke my arm. I ended up being sent to Bourgas hospital to have an operation to put 2 pins in the broken bones. I have had some major problems with my arm since my return.
I would like to know if anyone else has had any other situations similar to this. I have not been able to go to work & it has been nearly 2 months since it happened & only late last week had the plaster off, after many problems with my arm.
Does anyone know if I would be able to make a claim regarding my situation? If so, which company would I be able to go through. I have spoken to one of the more popular companies off the tv. But as Bulgaria is outside the EU, they arent able to help.
I very much appreciate any advice that is given
Thank you.

Hope your arm improves soon.
How did you book your holiday? Was it DIY - a Tour Operator or an agent? If a TO was a report submitted via the rep? Have you had any further contact with them? What have your insurers had to say?
What has the hospital/Doctor had to say about your injury/treatment in Bulgaria? Have they advised you of any possible long term problems.
Sorry if it seem like we are interrogating you but we do need more information if we are to give any meaningful advice.

As for compensation... well they may be in the EU but proving negligence from such a distance will be nigh impossible..

Did you show your EHIC card at the time to get treatment on the same financial terms as the locals or did you have to pay up front?
Hi, How are you feeling? I hope your injury is a lot better now. I have been in a similar situation when going to the supermarkets and slipping over and getting back and neck injuries as there was no warning sign. I know that it is not totally the same situation as yours is based abroad but the company I used McKeowns Solicitors Northern Ireland may be able to help in your situation, and I think they have a free phone number so it might be a good idea to ask them for advice. A little tip make sure which ever organisation you use has a no win no fee policy as otherwise your claim is going to be very expensive.

They appear to be 'Holiday Claims Specialists', although of course you can use whichever company you wish if you are going down the legal route.
