It seems the Brits are at the top of the polls for everything these days, the ugliest, the fattest, the laziest, the drunkest. Do we having any redeeming qualities? Saying that though, I do have to agree with the title of this thread.

But on the plus side, us brits came in second in an australian poll for 'best tourists' just beaten by the japanese ! Aparantly, we are good at having a go at the language, trying the local foods and we do our research on the places we visit, I reckon thats worth shouting about !

An Australian poll says the British are good at having a go at the language??? I was under the impression their language was English (apart from that constant hint of doubt that makes every statement sound like a question).

And research - have you any idea how many British think Leeds is between Manchester and Cardiff? Or that Wales is an English county (or possibly a city)???

Only what I read steve, obviously, it means in countries where english isn't the first language, and it wasn't just relating to men either . Hey, I'm just trying to redeem the british tourist after the slating we usually get !

Perhaps it is because we are real men, we don't spend hours moisturising and having our hair done. We don't spend hours in front of a mirror working out what we must wear. We just go on holiday, wear what we like and have a good time.

Dunno, there was some seriously yummy looking British men around the pool on our recent holiday. I certainly enjoyed the view. There was also plenty of big bellied, bald men to but seeing as how I'm married to one of them and I love him I wouldn't say they are ugly.
