Did you not know that there would be more than one car park at Gatwick? I would have asked TC which carpark it is as it doesn't say on the info you gave me! Also did you not tell TC that you DIDN'T have directions to your car park? Surely they would have then given you some! If you're asking them if you have all the info and them saying 'yes' did you not mention you had no map?

Unfortunately this is a your word against theirs situation. Another mistake that the inexperienced make is to assume that when a mjaor British tour operator gets it wrong you just go and explain things and they give you your money back. Sorry, but that never happens. You could start a County Court claim but without documents you don't have much of a chance in court and this boils down to lack of documents.

When you originally booked the parking were you offered a choice of differenty priced options?

I don't think that you will be able to do anything about it really. I know that when I book airport parking I check and double check where I am supposed to be and sadly you did not do that, in most airports there are numerous car parks especially at somewhere as huge as Gatwick.

The other problem is you say that you were told to to go to the office or whatever when you parked your car and you failed to do that aswell, in hindsight parking your car up and solving issues on your return would never be a good idea because to be fair your car could have been towed away or anything.

It's sadly your word against theirs and I don't think that they will back down on this one.

A quick search on the Thomas Cook website shows they use at least 5 different car parks. Sadly I don't think you are going to get anywhere with this one.

Assuming for the moment you parked at the normal Gatwick long stay carpark Can I just ask how the ticket office knew you should of been at airparks .

Thomas Cook would have/should have given you a printed out confirmation of your car parking booking. On it, it would have said the booking reference number and the name of the car park that was booked. So am I correct in saying you didn't have that confirmation invoice? Thomas Cook use Holiday Extras for their car parking so it would have said Holiday Extras at the top.

What printed information did they actually give you on the car park? If it says Holiday Extras at the top then they gave you the correct print out.

Very valid point! Perhaps the OP handed over the paperwork and they saw it on there?

I would have thought if the OP went back to TC twice to query the fact that the only infomationthey needed was the ref no that they had been given, would have prompted TC to double check that they had given out all necessary documentation.

Given the lack of a map and if you had not had numerous holidays i would have thought it quite normal to assume that you park in the airport long term car park.

It's not old age wendywu, unfortunately some posts had to be edited or removed due to complaints received about the nature of the content and the general direction in which the discussion was heading, none of which was likely to help the original poster.
