We always visit Candolim Boys Home when in Goa as well as CWT but have to say that the Boys Home really do need help, they have so little compared to CWT so if anyone can help out it is greatly appreciated. The home is based at Centre of Candolim, Opposite Bosio Hospital, Pintos Waddo, Candolim - behind Village Panchayat, Candolim. It can be difficult to find as it is up a small road. There is an e-mail address - Gaurish7385@yahoo.com, Lynne and Julie also help out there. We took a list of requirements from them which are school stationery like text books, notebooks, pens, geometry boxes, annual school fees up to Rs 15000, school uniforms, school shoes with socks, slippers or rainy footwear, school bags, raincoats, umbrellas, underwear, body baniyans, t-shorts for daily use, first aid medicines, bed sheets, towels, toothpaste, soap, toothbrushes.
Brenda & Liz
Thank you for highlighting the plight of Candolim Boys Home, unlike other childrens charities in Goa
This home receives no publicity and whilst government funded relies heavily on the generosity of tourists such as yourselves to make their day to day lives better, perhaps with your message more tourists may visit and brighten these childrens day.
Regards
Lynne.
