Can you tell me what the weather is usually like in September. My wife and I are going to Akyarlar near Turgetreis from 3rd to 17th Sep this year.
The reason I ask is that in Crete a few years ago it got a bit chilly & breezy towards the back end on similar dates.

I thought I would leave it later today as this morning a lot of cloud rolled in from the sea at about 10am and there was no sun.
The sun is out now but just showing through the clouds and the wind is still chilly
24 degrees in the shade and 34 in the sun.
Nice for people arriving on holiday but very cool for us but hopefully it will pick up by the weekend

It'll be hot in September. I prefer that month as it's a little cooler then August but still expect it to be well in to the 30's, even early 40's through the day and early to mid 20's at night.

We returned on 1 May after 16 days in Icmelar. We had more rain than I expected and the evenings the first week were quite cold even inside the hotel. When the sun was out thought it was nice and hot and we did get a suntan but we will go later in the year next time just to make sure of the weather, probably end May/beginning of June. Had a great time though and will do a report as soon as I can.

Have been looking at going to Gumbet for 11 days from the 4th August, having looked at the previous years on wunderground, it is showing the average heat of about 32. I assume this will be a fair way out, can anyone advise of average temperatures in the first couple of weeks of August.

Temperatures are rising with 24 on the front and 38 on the back balconies but the wind is keeping the temps down.
The breeze is still very cool for this time of year so be careful in the sun if you are coming out as you will not realise how strong it is

I am off to Kusadasi three weeks today and the weather is not looking too good at the moment. Anyone know if it's forecasted to improve during the next couple of weeks?

Wunderground has been a bit off the mark recently. Normally it is pretty good but of late I'm finding it inaccurate. Maybe it is because the weather hasn't yet settled to normal. I'm using Windguru.cz at the moment - it is good and I can see when I can possibly get out fishing - This coming Monday and Tuesday look good!
John in Icmeler has also noticed the unusually cool breeze we are getting round this way and this is keeping the evening temps down and making it feel chilly. Usually we are getting warm winds at this time.
Still shouldn't moan, mostly it is good weather.

Normaly, yes but weather is up and down all over the place at the moment. The seasonal average for May in Marmaris is 24c, increasing to 27c in June.
