Hi.. hopefully someone will know what we can do..
We (4 females - 2@ 60 and 2 @40 ) have booked with Thompson 2 twin rooms to go to Turkey club magic life.. now known as marmaris imperial next sunday 15th.. we booked this holiday last may.
Went in today to collect tickets and the assistant read out the tickets as 2 double rooms.. when we challenged the double bedrooms she checked the booking on her screen and one screen was showing up double rooms and another was showing up twin rooms.. she passed this off as the system automatically changing it. She rang head office as we said there is no way we can go and sleep in double beds as we are friends not partners. In the mean time as they were trying to say that the hotel had now changed to a couples hotel that we would of booked double rooms...
We insisted on them going to get the oringinal paper booking and as we knew.. it turns out we booked twin rooms..
after a few hours of being passed around it has been left as of 6pm this evening that it is an error in the system and there is a block on any changes for that hotel... we have to go back monday and see if they can get hold of the fouth person they were passed onto today as at 6pm this evening they still had not answered the phone...
We are going sunday... but all feel that none of us wish to share a bed with each other.. we feel this is totally unaceptable... they dont seem to hold out much hope about a change as the hotel is showing as full....
we just dont know what we can do... we understand that the hotel has changed hands and listings but they sold us twin rooms and now saying they olny offering double rooms.. although their webpage shows up some twin rooms..
Personally I would email the hotel direct to confirm how you are booked and to make any requests .

Thomson details state standard rooms consist of 1 x double bed and 1 x sofa bed but I wouldnt necessary trust that to be the only options available at the hotel. Best to check direct

Thats the right hotel... thats a great help thanks.. will send an email now and see if I can get any joy that way.. why thompsons couldn't of just rang them direct today rather than spend all afternoon waiting in phone que's and getting no where baffles me.... thanks again
Thomson blurb also states this " Twin rooms with a Limited sea-view are also available."
Hopefully they will accomodate you in one of these rooms without a charge .
Remember they are Turkish at the other end so make the email clear and directly to the point to avoid the important stuff being lost in translation.

We are 4 adult females arriving on the above date and booked last May for twin rooms . Would appreciate confirmation that we can be accomodated in twin rooms on arrival.

All done.... stated the main facts with a bit of pleading... just had a confirmation email back so will see if that will do us any good.....
Just been having a browse on Trip advisor and someone else has been trying to find an email address today . Seems it's not owned by magic life anymore but hopefully you will still get a response from that email even if it is to give you a new contact address.
