Off to Tenerife in October - not had a holiday abroad since Easter 2009! Going with my grown-up son and his friend for a week of partying. Should have been going to Vegas with friends but I haven't got much spends and there didn't seem much point going somewhere like Vegas on a budget; if you're doing Vegas, you've got to do it properly! So it's a cheap and cheerful all-inclusive (costing less than just the flight to Vegas) and enough spends leftover for a few night's clubbing and a couple of days out!
Two weeks today and we'll be in Salou for 10 days - 3 days more than usual ! 
Now I start counting down especially as the week before is Whitsun week which means a busy time workwise so I have to try and get organised pre Whit rush!

meeeeee finally got it booked after a lot of debating about whether we could afford to go this year,i am pleased to say that we will be going to portugal on the 14th aug never in my life have i left it so late to book, gonna panic now trying to make lists of what i need to get so excited

Got back from my holidays on sun, and I had a lovely time, what mnade the holiday for me, was all the kids that were there, I felt like a teenager again
Come fri, will go and book my holidays for next year, and for the next 12 months plan out what I am going to do

Meeee! I've got my Euros, my tickets and my luggage labels printed. I've even sorted out the majority of clothes hubby and I will be taking. Roll on 4th August

no i dont have a wristband Shirley, im tall (5'10) with purplish hair hubby is taller and my 18 yr old son has downs syndrome so might be easy to spot

Paid off my third of the balance last night (going with son and his friend, and they're nearly paid off too), so the countdown has almost begun! 13 weeks on Fri I'll be on my way to Tenerife! 
I was - untill my long term partner walked out on monday afternoon - now really dont know how I feel. My son, 12, thinks a holiday without his dad will be boring and im worried sick about going on our own.

nursynewcastle sorry to hear of your dilemma. Go and show him what a strong and independant woman you are, the holiday will be just what you need, time away to think without constant reminders from home, you never know he might just realise what he is missing and lost !!!
