Already had my holiday at Easter and it doesn't look like I'll be getting another one
Had such a great time, met some fantastic people (local Brits) and I'm desperate to go back to the same place in August but teenage daughter doesn't want another holiday, because her best mate can't afford to come again, even though my son said he'd come this time to keep her company.
I've even offered to
pay for her best mate (it'd be a cheap flight, private apartment - so same price however many people in it; and I've seen how much her mate eats and it wouldn't exactly bankrupt me...) but the girls are refusing to budge and apparently they have "plans" for the summer...

They've just left school (last Friday) and they don't start college until mid-September so I'm not sure what they're going to do for the best part of 4 months...
I know they're going to the Leeds Festival but that's right at the end of August and it's only for a couple of days, so it's not like I can sneak off on my own for any worthwhile amount of time - and I wouldn't trust her home alone if decided to go away without her.
At the moment I've given up asking her myself and I've got my son on the case, texting her and bothering her on MSN and Facebook, trying to convince her to agree to it. He wants a holiday as well, he didn't want to come with us at Easter because he said he was "too old for family holidays" and he wanted to go away with friends, but now he's discovered all his Uni friends are skint and are going away with their own families, and his old schoolfriends with jobs are going away with girlfriends. So unless we can convince daughter, we're going to have a bit of a sulky summer all round!
