Your not alone in this! I went to get some bits and pieces from town yesterday and guess what - I HAVEN'T EVEN BOOKED MY FLIGHTS YET!.
I've got a boots and Superdrug card so I'm going to start using these and I know most things in boots are 3 for 2. Also I noticed that the 99p shop does Harmony hairspray and Tresemme shampoo and conditioner so might have a quick run around in there sometime today and buy a few bits.
My eldest daughter is 16 now so she wants all the expensive stuff and her own instead of mixing our clothes and bits and bobs she wants to have her own case with her own things so she has put £150 out of her birthday money away to buy all her holiday stuff - I'm not paying £30 for a decent shampoo!

another thing I have been doing ahead of my hol end of July is popping into the charity shops when I pass to see if there are any decent books to take. I always get through 5 or 6 books so if I can get them for a pound or 2 each so much the better.
I started buying bits and bobs at the start of the year on every payday. My holiday isn't until October. The one thing I have been looking out for is a travel soap dish thing ( You know!) I couldn't believe my luck when I saw a solitary one in Tesco last week and quickly snapped it up.
Im the same I fly out to malaga on 7th october and have already been buying clothes, sandals, bikinis, toilitries etc the only thing I have to buy is a new camera, and a beach towel...sun oils / creams can wait they will go in the sale buy the time I go anyway and laso the summer clothes sale will be on then so more treats to buy..
This week I have bought my
Travel insurance
8GB memory card for my camera. Now means I have a 1GB and a 512MB one as spares.
2 more bottles of once a day suntan lotion. Now have 4x 200ml bottles.
Aftersun lotion
A Hat
And a holdall/case for everything. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2862734/c_1/1|category_root|Sports+and+leisure|14419152/c_2/2|14419152|Luggage|14419371/c_3/3|cat_14419371|Garment+carriers+and+trolley+holdalls|14419384.htm
The holdall is smaller then what I wanted, but surprisingly is like the tardis inside. Plus spending a month in the sun I'm not packing heavy jumpers and jeans and suchlike.
Yes I am the same have about 6 tubes of elemis tan accelerator 2 tubes gatineau tan accelerator, too many toiletries lol and loads of clothes too many books lol...........
I just need to buy a wheeled hand luggage size case,I usually use a bag but they tend to lose their shape and I'm worried it won't fit into the measuring stand.Flew with Ryannair last month and thought I was going to be asked to put it in the hold.I really don't want to have that problem again.I've got everything else, just need to download some more books onto my kindle then I'm sorted ,don't fly again until September so plenty of time left.
I'm not going on abroad til next Feb (Seville), but I've made a start on getting some toiletries and have the travel insurance. Have my flights booked, but don't have the hotel booked - yet!!!! So not alone on making an early start.
