Back to work today, after my week away to Lanzarote Princess. I just want to let anyone know that if they are in any doubt about going here, don't be! The place is beautiful. I loved the hotel, loved the weather, loved the people, loved the shops, loved my holiday!! Picked up some great bargain perfumes and some very cheap smirnoff vodka. Have to tell you though, you must bargain with them! There is no point in buying anything unless you bargain. I have got so in the habit of doing it that I found myself really wanting to do it yesterday when shopping in town for new jackets for the family! I have the 'bargaining' bug!

Hi,glad you had a good time and picked up a few bargains,what was the weather like?,i got back from a 22 night cruise to the caribbean last thursday and was back in work friday am ,still got to earn the pennies for the next hol!

Weather was great. We had highs of 29 every day. Wednesday was very very wet in the morning, for about an hour and a half, then it was a scorcher of an afternoon. Thursday was quite cloudy all day which was a shame as this was our last day and we didn't have to leave til 5.30pm. Still sat out at the pool, just not able to give the tan a final blast! Rest of the week was clear most of the day with the odd cloud. Big bump back down to earth when we arrived in Glasgow at 12.30am!

Can anybody that has been to the Lanzarote Princess recently tell me the situation with the refurbishment, is it still going on or finished. Or any other hotel that is about the same price and a good position that you would recommend either in Playa Blanca or Costa Teguise. First timer in Lanzarote and thinking of february

Best placed is the Hesperia Dorada. Right on the best beach and if you can get sea views it's amazing.

Iberostar Lanzarote Park is well placed too. Good sea views.

I live in PB but if I were coming and wanted a good reasonably priced hotel I'd pick one of those - Dorada top choice.

Another good hotel but slightly further out is the Hipotels Natura Palace.

H10 hotels are not what they used to be IMO.

Wilwark, I did settle for Majorca in the end as half the price,I know we wont have the warmth but thank you and it has been noted for the future

Does anyone know which rooms have been refurbished or have they finished them all now ?
I'm looking at a suite and wondered whether they'd been done ?

Also I believe the children's pool now has a pirate ship with slides, have they done anything to the adult pools ?
