Yes I seem to remember being charged for a carrier bag in Costa Brava a couple of weeks ago can't recall how much though
I think it was 5c in Carihuela.
Benalmadena Mercadona's charge 2c for a basic plastic carrier bag and 5c for one that is bigger/stronger and can be used many times.
I was offered a plastic carrier bag at Malaga airport for 20c which I refused to buy. I didn't but the items in my basket either!
