hi,we are due to go to marmiris in 3 weeks,last year beer had gone up to about 4-5 lira a bottle,can anyone tell me what the price of a bottle is this year please,we are not on the sea front we are about a kilometre off the beach?!

I was talking to a couple in Dalaman a few weeks ago who said that they were paying up to 6 lira a bottle.

4.5 is what we pay in armutalan, you can exspect to pay a lot more down the port but thats your choice
1 k off the port mate,usually a.bit cheaper away from the beach !
6lira a bottle!!! Will have to give up drinking when I go in Sept. - either that or I will have to leave 'Sir' at home!! 
2009 we were only paying 2 Lira a bottle !!!

bottle of efes in marmaris 2010 was 4.5YTL - exchange rate was 2.40YTL/£1 = £1.87
bottle of efes in marmaris 2011 was 5YTL - exchange rate was 2.85YTL/£1 = 1.75
So yes - whilst the YTL price of the efes has gone up - it is in fact cheaper than last year!!!!

Just got back only an hour ago from Marmaris and in the Sherwood bar on the beach front we were paying 3.5 lira for a large bottle of Efes.
Got back last night from Calis Beach, paying between 4 & 6T/L
in the restaurants on the prommenade.
