monarch A321,
You can ask anything you like (within reason) in relation to Thomson Airways! I posted examples of meals here. They change every 6 months or so though so these are just examples.
Darren
Thanks Darren, I do hope that Thomson's dont change the aircraft from a 767 to 737 as I had the same thing with Virgin early this year. I was meant to come back on VS46 Boeing 747 and it turned out to be an airbus 340-600 which is a nice aircraft but you cant beat the 747.
Ah okay, very good. What price is it usually to upgrade to Premium on the day at the airport? Also, does that include the return leg?
It's very unlikely any premium seats will be available on the day as they are normally booked months in advance. You may get lucky and there's a last minute cancellation, but it's unlikely. The price isn't normally much cheaper than full price and may or may not be return depending on what's available.
Darren
Hi Darren, what I should have mentioned was that I am going on a 10 night break to Bulgaria so the return flight is operated by a 757 aircraft, so I wonder if the Thomson website only gives you the smallest aircraft seat plan when you book these.
That changes things then as there are 2 flights weekly. Your outbound flight is the TOM4574 (76W). Your return flight is the TOM4151, which is a Boeing 757-200. Make sure you're looking at the right one. Each flight should show the correct seating plan for the flight otherwise there's no point showing it. It's possible the aircraft has changed for that date, but all flights so have have been operated by the aircraft scheduled.
Darren
Thanks Darren
Anybody know;

I assume you're wanting to know aircraft types?
TOM 2152/2153 MAN-CFU-MAN 5/9-12/9 - Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul / winglets)
TOM 772/773 MAN-SSH-MAN 22/10-29/10 - Boeing 737-800 (winglets)

We're flying LGW-PFO on 10th - 17th August (TOM4314/4315)...
Is it too early to ask which type/reg aircraft?
Many thanks
Looks like he was correct as G - PJLO positioned from MAN to LTN this morning as TOM 9802.
TOM 168 MAN - SFB normally operated by PJLO was operated by G - OBYG.
Anyone know the reason for PJLO positioning to LTN - maintenance planned or reactive?
If it was planned how much notice are TOM giving to their customers that their long haul plane is being replaced by a short haul version (high density seating, lack of premium cabin etc...)
I agree with previous posters that it is better to substitute a flight with a short haul version to avoid lenghty delays that eat into a holiday; but my point being what is the point of paying for the Premium Cabin and service, when in reality there is absolutely no guarantee of actually receiving the service you originally paid for!
Jon - Concerned TOM 168 Premium passenger!!!
Aircraft are only substituted when absolute necassary. They aren't planned months in advance. It's inevitable an aircraft will have to be swapped at some stage, they are incredibly complex machines with the highest safety standards applied to them. You can't take chances at 37,000ft. The vast majority of flights are operated as normal, it' just an dd one that is changed at the last moment.

LGW-PFO-LGW (TOM4314/5) are operted by a Boeing 757-200. I can't give a registation as it changes weekly and in any case, all the aircraft of similar type are virtually the same inside so it makes little difference. The only differences in the 757 fleet are the seat design and the placement of toilets and an odd seat. You'll find extensive aircraft informatio on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
Any ideas how long PJLO is in maintenance for and whether there are any other of the ex FCA long haul fleet that are due for "planned" maintenance in the next 4 weeks?
Thanks.
Jon
I am due to fly to CUN on 8th Sept with TOM, does anyone know which A/C's are currently assigned to this route?
Thanks
Chloe
Welcome onboard
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often multiple flights. This ensures we get the correct information for you. It's the TOM092/3 from Gatwick I assume? This flight is operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hiya
I was wondering if it would be one of the (almost) new 737-800's but no biggy.
Many thanks for the speedy reply as always Darren
I would be interested if anyone finds out what the situation is with G-PJLO. I was on her for TOM137 from MBJ to MAN on Sun-Mon this week and she seemed a nicer (less worn-looking) bird than G-OOBL that carried us out two weeks before.
Hi, we are flying from East Midlands to Faro TOM 7402. I am guessing it will be a 737-800 as it only has 32 seating rows. Am I right?
