Hi Pete,

Gale is a small beach resort with many villas and apartments spread out over a wide area. There's a long sandy beach which stretches westwards to Armacao de Pera and a selection of beautiful sandy coves of varying sizes going eastwards to Albufeira.

There are bars and restaurants in the area, and an excellent fairly new supermarket called Apolonia.

Gale is about 5 miles from Albufeira.
