Hopefully going in January if my parents are there. The only fly in the ointment is that I have to try and arrange for the father in law to get a visa in Slovakia. The Indian Embassy there wants

a) Proof of a return plane ticket (yeah right, like I'm going to buy a ticket for him before they approve a visa)
b) Proof of having spending money (he's retired so we'll be paying for him)
c) Proof of where he's staying in Goa (staying with my parents)

Hopefully he'll enjoy it more that the mother in law who didn't like the heat, or the food or wild animals :duh

More time to play around with the Tata Nano as well. Great little car for jaunts down to the beach :tup

Looking at flying Air India via Delhi.

Sorry Millie, that was just the hotel, flights were £509 each, still pretty good, works out cheaper than it did last year at the same place.

We arrived back in Goa on Thursday and have been busy spring cleaning and turfing out all the stuff that never survived the monsoons

The weather seems to be very hot in the day for the time of year and we are only getting a few rainy minutes in the late afternoon every other day, so no complaints but the power cuts are really bad this season, last night we lost the power twice while trying to get ready to go out and three times while in a restaurant in Arpora, each cut lasted about 30 to 45 minutes

Some of the roads are in a bad way and have had a temporary surface laid over them also it looks like they may be widening the main Baga road near the CSM as both sides have been dug up and rocks dumped in the trenches causing absolute chaos to the traffic and pedestrians

Slowly getting back in the way of things, even managed to sleep in until 10.30 this morning, we sat chatting to the band at Mix after they stopped play at midnight, so did not get into bed until the small hours

Yes, but not on the date or to the resort or the hotel we originally booked.
