It has been suggested I ask my question on this board
I am an expat, living in Spain and am flying to US to board a cruise. I am looking for medical/travel insurance and have come across worldwideinsure.com Has anyone used them? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? The standard insurance given by the cruise TA includes only 3000€ medical cover for US, which is obviously not enough, and other companies seem unable to offer more than 15,000€ - again not enough!!!
Thanks for any help in this
Might I suggest you look at the travel policies offered by AXA - which I took when I last visited the US in 2009 - and a policy called Ulysse offered by April.
You may find though that whilst you can get a good amount for US medical cover, you may not be able to get cancellation cover ... Ulysse requires the insurance to be take out at the same time as flights, whereas with AXA you must take the policy out 90 days before travel.
Does Mondial Assistance not have something suitable?
Thanks Alsa, I'll take a look at them all I believe the policy offered on line by worldwideinsure.com is underwritten by AXA. I just have never bought insurance over the net before, so was wondering if it would be an ok thing to do!!
