I don't buy them, but I am told that prices here are not much different to the UK. You might find something at the airport but in general prices there are the same as anywhere else. There may of course be a bargain or two, you never know.

If you spot a 'Perfumaria' that is the best place to go looking for something special.

If you are staying in the centre of Albufeira, there is a shopping centre called Modelo by everyone but officially it's 'Albufeira Shopping'. it has a large supermarket on two floors and several specialist shops on the lower level. You will find it on the main dual carriageway east-west road almost opposite McDonalds and near the town hall (Camara) and the Brisa Sol Hotel.

This is not to be confused with the even larger 'Algarve Shopping' which is four miles out of town and will cost you about 10 Euros in a taxi. That mall has five shops listed under 'Perfumaria' including Bodyshop. There is plenty of other retail therapy available there.

There are a few decent little shops down the old town centre including a perfumaria or two.

Yes, it does help. Thanks Cubsur. Especially the bit about the two floor supermarket. I love browsing around and picking up a few foody treats to take home. I think my OH will lose the will to live if I am let loose in there. I think we are by that shopping centre. We are staying at the Quinta da Bellavista.

Yes, Quinta da Bellavista is about 5 minutes walk from Modelo and there are a lot of other shops to the left as you get there.
