Apparently during the first practice today it had to stop for a while as there was a dog on the track - so typically Indian.
The track looks amazing and there were quite a few spectators which is unusual for Friday practice.
Another "nugget" - the cheapest tickets cost 2,500 rps for the 3 days - pretty good. It is apparently a sell out. Wish I was there.

I thought the dog incident was a joke, but I've just read the BBC website. Good grief. Why was a dog even IN the stadium? 
the dog has proberbly never owned a new home before.(always had to sleep under the sunbeds and drink salt water) so it thought ill have some of this!. maybe the crowd will let me have their leftovers.

Why wouldn't it be in the stadium! The first time I went to Goa there was a dog on the runway at Dabolim and no-one batted an eyelid. I remember thinking "What sort of place have I come to!" but it did not put me off going again and again!.

Yes, at Dabolim, we once aborted landing for a cow, and another time for a plane, so dogs are small beer !!!

Pollution, dust, heat, great for the drivers, but they must be greatful that the track was finished.
