Pat I wouldnt worry about it being a couple of cms over TC dimensions as long as it doesnt weigh over 5kg they are fine.
I have travelled with TC 4 times in the last 12 months and one of my holdalls is bigger than their dimensions but as long as it goes in the overhead locker and is only 5kgs they have been fine.
After I sit in my seat I watch what other people are bring onto the plane and some of the so called hand luggage is bigger than my suitcase.
You and me both Jean - I can't believe what some people seem to get away with. Anyway. I've been doing a 'dummy pack' today - throwing in the things I've got to take and weighing my hold luggage. and it looks as if I'll be able to get more in that than I anticipated. I think I must be getting weaker as I get older as it seemed to weigh a ton when I lifted it but it was still well under 20kg and I've always found my Balanza scales to be accurate.
They are not the SubO ones but only weigh 2.74kgs and they are made of normal case material.
Its an Aerolite Paris case and apart from being very light it has 4 wheels.
How they will stand up to handling at Newcastle airport in another matter so all it needs now is to book a holiday to find out.
