Strike warning for air passengers
Air passengers flying to Italy are being advised to check the status of their flights before travelling to the airport tomorrow as a general strike is likely to cause delays and last minute cancellations.
On September 6, an eight-hour strike by workers protesting against Italy's tough austerity measures shut down transport links and businesses across Italy.
EasyJet warned the strike planned for tomorrow was likely to affect air traffic control and urged passengers to check their flights on easyjet.com
A statement on its website said: "While the circumstances are outside of the airline's control, easyJet apologises for any inconvenience caused and would like to reassure passengers that we are doing everything possible to minimise the disruption.

if it's any concellation, the September strike was more like a short break for a demonstration and most tourists didn't lose out much.
