Ok after many years of umming and arring I am about to book flights to Malta and it is our intention to head to Gozo for a week .. Dave and my youngest son will take in some diving whilst I relax . Not much difference price wise between a package and DIY but Im thinking DIY will give me more flexibility with duration. Now the tricky bit ... I've always faniced a weekend in Valletta but not actually done much research . Im wondering if it would be worth getting flights for 9 nights and spending the first couple there to take in some history and a little wandering .
Is there much to see and do in Valletta or would it be better to spend an extra couple of days exploring more of gozo . ?????

Excellent Corinne thank you .. Thats a very informative report .. I've booked EJ flights now for 9 nights so we have an extra couple of nights to play with .. now Im wondering if I should of booked more .
