A British holidaymaker has gone missing in Lanzarote.

Her name is Margaret Holt. She is aged 65 but looks younger. She is of slim build and has light mouse brown hair. Margaret was wearing a pink vest T shirt, khaki shorts, walking shoes and a small black ruck sack. She is very fit woman who thinks nothing of walking 20 miles per day. She loves costal paths. We know she left the Barcelo at Costa Teguise at 9am on 23rd Dec wearing light pink vest, khaki shorts, White socks and walking velcro sandals with small black drawstring bag. This is her normal walking attire. We have her passport, cards etc from the room so know she only intended to got for a walk. Her mobile phone is with her but not working. We really believe she had a fall walking. Please can you ask people to look out for her. She may have fallen down off the path. They are concentrating their search around the north end of the island as there is a confirmed sighting of her around 16.50 on Friday 23 December after visiting the Jameos del Agua and Cueva de Los Verdes. The ex pat community is doing a stirling job getting posters out there, contacting the press and radio stations.

Please can anyone in that area keep any eye open and help spread the word, although after being missing for 5 days things are not looking very good!
