groovybaby,
Are you sure of the flight number (BA734)? The only flights that day for LGW-VCE-LGW are BA2582/3, BA2584/5 (1155 from LGW) and BA2586/7. All are operated by Boeing 737-400 (confusion with the aircraft code 734?). The flight number BA734 is Heathrow to Geneva. There are no 'best' seats as it's personal preference. Exit rows (10 & 11) have windows. You'll find further information on BA's website.

Is there anywhere on the web that can tell me which of BA's 777's have been in for their interior refresh, with the new seating/IFE?
Thank you
The BA Source has lots of useful information. The following have the new First Class seating, IFE etc as far as I know, but others may have now too: G-YMMG/H/I/K/L/P/N, G-VIIC/D/E/G/H/J/K/L/N//U/V/W/X/Y and G-ZZZB/C.

To reserve a seat do you have check in online? I want a window seat as I've never been up in the sky before
You can check in online 24 hrs before your flight and will then be able to choose your seat. http://www.britishairways.co.uk

thank you
You can check in on-line from exactly 24 hours before your flight - not a moment sooner. Go into "Manage My Booking" input your reservation number and follow the instructions. If my memory serves me correctly they will show which seat they are offering you and a seating plan where you can change to any other you prefer which is still available. I've got another 5 weeks from today before I fly with them to Tunis.
Thanks, will do
Hope you have a great flight. You don't say where you're flying to but if it's a short-haul be aware that on the last few flights I've had with BA the food has only been a rather nasty sandwich and cup of tea or coffee so you may like to consider taking your own. On the plus side their allowance for both hold and hand baggage is excellent.
Will buy myself something to drink/eat whilst I've gone through customs, thanks for the tip I am flying very short haul to Jersey Packed my hold luggage bag already. Not yet sorted out hand luggage as I hope to take my lappy and my new camera.
Hand luggage is really generous, the only restriction being that you should be able to lift it into the overhead locker, and you can take a handbag or laptop as well as your main flight bag.
As I'm female I have my handbag (I went through it today again), but I will probably just my laptop bag which I must clear out as I don't need so much junk in it
They are really generous so weight is not a problem providing you can lift it, which probably precludes it being much more than about 10/12kg if you're anything like me.
That's one of the reasons they where recommended to me, nice and generoous allowance I'm quite strong so have to weigh things
Was given a cup of tea and a giant biscuit, couldn't dunk the biscuit though, biscuit bigger than the cup
Glad it all went well. Hope mine is as good next month. Just checked prices for Tunisia in October - Thomas Cook and Thomsons £250-£290, BA £144. Guess who I'll be flying with yet again.

Pleased to hear your first flight went well and hope you enjoyed your birds eye view over the channel. Roll on Thursday, i'll be having them views for 10 hours!

Have a great flight Darren and a super holiday. Just hope we're all still here when you get back.
Good to hear you made it Tarry. I was worried you would be caught up in the delays at Gatwick over the weekend and arrive with no luggage.
I think I got lucky that I flew on the Sunday as opposed to the day before although I was very glad to see my suitcase come off the canayer belt Treated myself to some new perfume from the duty free, but as I made sure I made extra time it got a bit boring at the airport.
