Ma Turkish mate wants me to take mature cheddar and richmond pork sausages9for his wife). We are travelling at night so im thinking they will be ok ion the cases in the hold.Or would they be better in the small cool bag? :think

Opinions please
Reply
you will need to put them in your suitcase as they will not allow them in your hand luggage

Hi Gunny, we always put ours in small cool bag with several of those gel ice-packs then in the case.

Ta thats what i`ll do as its the heat i was worried about.
You can buy richmond sausages frozen, wondering wether i should buy frozen ones then let them defrost over the journey
Reply
I would take fresh because you can always freeze some over there, whereas if they're allowed to defrost it wouldn't be safe to do that.

at christmas we took lots of cheese in our hand luggage, we told the security and they said chees was no problem.

I always used to get people to bring me chees over when I lived in Turkey but I was never sure whether it was really allowed. There's nothing like a good mature cheddar!
