Air Malta to offer holiday flights from UK regions
Air Malta will resume charter flights from six UK regional airports this summer.
From 1 May, the airline will operate weekly charter flights from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Newcastle and Norwich airports to Malta and Gozo.
The flights, which will be in addition to the airline's regular scheduled services from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, will operate until the end of October.
Air Malta chief commercial officer Philip Saunders said the charter flights had been made possible following the support from regional airports as well as from tour operators and other travel trade partners.
"These operations further confirm the airline's commitment to boosting incoming tourism to Malta from the UK, which is Malta's primary tourism market," he said. We expect to carry around 48,000 passengers on these services."

As we have to fly from Gatwick at Easter, this will be great news, if we decide we want to return. We'll have a choice between Cardiff & Bristol. Hope the prices will be half decent though
I see they haven't re-instated the Glasgow flight they dropped
The seats were badly worn and the stuffing was showing.
Jay Trip - I'd even put up with that if the price was right
The seats were fine on the Air Malta flights we went on the end of January. Thank goodness they've reinstated the flights from Birmingham airport during the summer but don't go in the winter and we had to go from Heathrow this year.
Gutted there are none from Donny
