Not only would it be very foolish to ignore the recommendations it could also mean that your travel insurance might become void as you failed to follow the recommended health advice and take all reasonable precautions to protect and look after your health, I would advise taking the tablets, it only takes one bite from an infected mosquito

hi thanks for this incredibly useful info, thank god for google (and holidaytruths) otherwise I wouldn't have known this.
Remember it's mrs mossie who needs your blood to multiply her species ,Falciparum malaria is the most dangerous in The Gambia ,take meds before leaving .during stay and on returning home as prescribed
