Technically, they are a vastly different aircraft. From a passengers perspective though, there's not a lot of difference. The configuration is pretty much the same, it's just the 757-200 is a longer aircraft and therefore has more rows of seats. You'll find links to aircraft photos and seat plans on our What Aircraft? guide.

Thank you again.
Another question if you or anybody else is able to answer. What is the seat pitch on the 737-800 that i will be flying on like? Is it one of the newer ones?
All that information is on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Seat pitch is 28" although the majority of aircraft have the slimline seats fitted that feel more like 30" seat pitch. It's impossable to tell if it's one of the newer ones at this stage as aircraft are rotated pretty much weekly.

Hi guys
Welcome onboard
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information. There are several flights so it's difficult to comment on specific flights unless we know which one you're on. Thomson have leased a Monarch Airlines Boeing 757-200 to operate some flights from EDI, it's no rumour. Further details here. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). In terms of onboard experience, there's no difference between TOM and MON.

IFE is linked on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). I update it as soon as I get it at the beginning of every month, although it was a day earlier this time!

Sorry. couldnt find it.
I've already booked my seats going out but for my return flight for which 90 days will be on Friday, would they take my request today (93 days) ? or would I be wasting my time trying.
It's normally around 90 days from your return flight that the seats are released for selection with package holidays. This does vary as it's when the flight is uploaded on to the system so it's worth checking a day or two before in case it's on there.

There are 2 Thomson flights into Manchester tomorrow morning-(169 from Cancun and 123 from Orlando Sandford). The Cancun flight is scheduled to land on time however the other one has at least a 4 hour delay.
We fly to Cancun tomorrow morning(hopefully). Any idea what flight will return to Cancun the one inbound from Cancun or the delayed one from Sandford? I am sure you can guess which i am hoping for!!
Thanks
Jonboy
A third aircraft positioned into Manchester to operate either Varadero or Cancun tomorrow so it 'wont' be delayed unless there are any further tech probs
Thanks Dazbo -I was just worried that they may have switched the schedule and we would be delayed. Hopefully between both of you with your wealth of info you have put my mind at ease.
Its much appreciated

Hi, hope somebody can help please. I am travelling with thomsons in October from Doncaster robin hood airport to faro Portugal. I have booked extra leg room seats but been advised that to use these seats I must be able to use the seatbelt provided with no extender belt. I have flown many times with other airlines and though sometimes the belts are a squeeze I have never had to request an extender belt. Does anyone know which plane will be used and the length of the seatbelts in the extra legroom seats?
Welcome onboard
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are multiple flights. This ensures we get the correct information for you. DSA-FAO-DSA ( assuming TOM3414/5?) are operated by Boeing 737-800. These have standard seat bealts fitted that are approximately 36 inches long. If you've never had a problem before, you won't on this aircraft. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

can anyone help me out and tell me which type of aircraft will be used for Manchester - Palma (TOM 2170 departs 1900 on August 13th), returning Palma - Manchester (TOM 2171 departs 2350 on August 20th) ?
Does anyone one how long the Tuifly Nordic airplane will operate for TOM (until the end of summer 2012 season?)
Thanks in advance,
yours,
SeekingFCA
MAN-PMI-MAN (TOM2170/1) are operated by Boeing 767-300/ER (328Y / short haul).
SE-RFS (76W) is in the UK on lease until the end of October.
