Thanx for the reply but is change from the 757-200 to the 737-800 just due to demand??
Will the change of aircraft make the flight longer??
Cheers
Benn
There hasn't been a change of aircraft. You originally asked in January before the schedule was released which is why the comment was 'should' be operated by. Now it's been confirmed, it's a 737-800. There's no change in flight times from those on your tickets / booking confirmation.

Would just like to also say thanks for the amount of work you put into this forum. Have been using it for many years now to find out IFE listings, aircraft information etc. before I eventually joined, and the information you give out is very useful, so cheers!
Sorry about that, the link must have broken for some rerason. It's fixed now though so it should take you to the listing. No worries re the information. I've got it in front of me so only takes a moment to answer questions!

I wonder if you can help. We are flying from gatwick to cancun on 7th october and returning 10 days later on flight 049. We have booked extra legroom seats and I have picked 14A and B, the only problem I have is that everywhere I look it does not show these are extra legroom. Can you confirm if this is correct and are they the emergency exit seats? When we travelled last year it was a Thomson Plan and the extra legroom seats where great as they only had a cupboard in front and I am not sure if this is the same plane.
When you go onto book my seats it only shows rows 14 and 20 as these are the only extra legroom seats on the plane.
If you cant help, any idea where I would look?
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM022/49) are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. What seat plan have you been looking at? There are two different configurations, V1 and V2. I suspect you've been looking at the V1 configuration where row 14 are standard economy seats (it's row 11 that are bulkhead on the V1). The one you want is the V2, linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Row 14 seats A/B and F/G are bulkhead (extra legroom) on the V2 aircraft.

Hi Darren,
gbailey141,
Thanks for your prompt reply Darren, I will ask a bit nearer the time.
Has anyone else experienced this?
So that seems to mean that anything you buy after security such as sandwiches, water or magazines will all count in your 5kg?
Are you sure that wasn't in relation to airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet? It's common for hand luggage to be weighted at check-in with Thomson Airways, but I've never had it weighted at the boarding gate with them. Checks on hand luggage is common at the boarding gate with airlines that offer online check-in as those travelling with hand luggage only won't be checked until they get to the gate. Those in excess of their limits may have to place bags in the hold and incur a charge with those airlines. Thomson will be bringing online check-in in at some point so are likely to follow suit. At the moment though, I've never experienced any checks at the boarding with them as it's done at check-in. That's not to say if you've gone mad at duty free you won't be questioned if you have several bags from each hand!
As long as you are within you baggage limit, you've nothing to worry about.

Aircraft details are on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). There's no IFE on short haul flights. Thomas Cook have re-introduced IFE on some flights.
