Madridlover,

I'll be a choice of chicken or beef (normally).

It's usually chicken in tarragon sauce veg with roast potatoes or a beef stroganoff/stew with mash. The veggie option is pasta with cheese sauce.
Hot English breakfast before landing

Homeward is
Roast chicken dinner
Lamb stew with rosemary gravy and potatoes
Chunky veg chilli

Then a hot cheese and onion panini and jam/cream scone..

Let the crew know early on if your vegetarian as there are not many of the veg options per flight. And if you are allergic to anything pm me and I'll check the ingredients for you. Also, very rarely the meals can be substitutted
Onboard so don't be too disappointed if you don't get offered one of the choices above

Hi Darren,

We fly to Cancun from Manchester TOM196 on Wed 25th July do you know the registration of the plane we will be on and where it will have flown into Manchester from.

Thanks for your help.

Chris.

chriskim,

MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM196/7) are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. I won't know the registration until the afternoon of the day before. It makes little difference in any case as all but 1 are identical inside. The aircraft operates to Cancun (TOM122/3) beforehand. G-PJLO is likely but that can change between now and your flight.

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the swift and helpful reply as ever.
I know it doesn't really matter which actual plane it is but its always nice to know the reg beforehand. We haven't been on Thomson/Firstchoice longhaul for a couple of years is it right that the ex first choice planes have had a refit inside to the dark blue leather like the Thomson ones and do they still have those remote controls on a cable for the IFE or are they now touch screen like the Thomson ones.

Thanks again for your help.

chriskim,

Some of the aircraft have been refurbished, but it's only the leather colour that's different.

MAN-MBJ-MAN (TOM156/7) are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including aircraft, cabin, seat and IFE photos as well as seat maps. Seating is personal preference.

flashback,

As Wizard has posted above, it's all under the Thomson Airways section on our the What Aircraft? guide (second link on my signature below, not the first one). There's a lot of information with links to seat maps, aircraft photos etc.

Hello all,

Can anyone help with how the Thomson choose a seat option works, as their website seems pretty vague on the process.

If I take up the option do we get first pick, and if so do we choose on-line, or by telephone and how far ahead can we choose.

Not booked yet but the flight will be NCL - SFB early may 2013

Any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks

You can select your seats online or over the phone from 90 days prior to your return flight date if you are on a package holiday, although keep checking online as seats are sometimes released slightly earlier. You'll have a default seat allocated when you log-in. If you don't like the one allocated, you can change it to an available seat. You won't have a choice of any, only the ones available as others will be selecting theirs too. In my experience, i've never had a problem in choosing a seat I want, as long as you get in their as soon as the flight becomes available. Once you've selected your seat and finalised it, you can't change it again.

Hi Darren,

Thanks for that. I must say i have enjoyed reading the forum for a long time, and always found the advice and information informative and helpful.

We will be flight only, will this make any difference? Also do Thomson notify you (by email perhaps) when seat choosing is open / available or is it up to you personally to keep an eye on the date?

Do you take the option of choosing your seat Darren?

casualvisitor,

Flight only does make a difference, you should be able to access the flight and choose seats from 90 days before the date of your outbound flight, and the same for your inbound. But keep checking as it's not always 90 days, it's sometimes a day or two before or after. It's whenever the flight is uploaded on to the system. If you've booked online, you'll normally receive an automated email that you can now choose your seat, but refer to the above. I normally select my seats, yes as I like a window seat. It's personal preference though. My seats have been selected for September for a few months, that's with Etihad though, not TOM as I'm having a change.

Thanks again Darren,

Although not booked yet we will be on TOM618 NCL - SFB 29th April and return on TOM393 on 13th May. We like to sit forward of the wing if we can, but not right on it where there is little view. I suspect the aircraft will be an ex FCA 767. Do you know which number is the first row in the "economy" cabin.
