Just wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar problem with a room booking.
We have booked quite some months ago with Travel Republic, accomodation to Sultan Gardens Resort in Sharm to travel this October. We booked a triple room for 2 adults and 2 children ages 13 and 8 on an all inclusive package.
The hotel looks fab and we are very excited to be going, but after reading a recent review on trip advisor about problems with a room booking and not being enough beds in the room for a family i decided to email the hotel directly to ask if they had got our booking from Travel Republic , apparantly the hotel supplier is a company called First Choice Hotels.com, which i was informed are an internal company linked with Travel Republic.
This is where i have become totally confused and rather annoyed, as i thought upon booking a room for 2 adults and 2 children there would be enough beds for the four of us , maybe 1 double and 2 singles, thus making this a triple room, or even 2 doubles, either way enough room for us all to sleep.
This seems not to be the case, the hotel were very good and emailed back promtly to say they had received our booking for 2 adults and 2 children but the room was a standard double room which would consist of 2 single beds, we were advised that if we had booked a triple room we would have to get in touch with the agent to get this ammended, but there would still be a charge of 10 euros per night per extra bed?
I have been in touch with Travel Republic who are looking into this, but am still waiting a reply, Travel Republic were very helpful, and i am hoping for this to be resolved without any charge.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

I'm confused here. Why would a hotel accept a booking for 4 people when the room only consists of 2 single beds
does a triple room mean something different in this hotel; i took it to mean a room with 3 beds. then references to double rooms threw me completely.
it looks like they have booked 1 double room, so far, and they may be getting extra beds put in for a fee to be paid locally of €10 per bed per night.
ssems a very strange way to book this.
A triple room means exactly that 3 people not 4 so how was the booking accepted in the first place
