I think the paint it still a bit wet so no leaning on the walls please...and new carpet - so shoes off!Nice to have somewhere to chat - really missed this when it was removed from HT some years ago
- as I can talk for England and my mother was POSITIVE I was innoculated with a gramophone needle - shall I start us off??Just got back from 4 days in Venice (3rd time) celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Had lovely surprise when we arrived as eldest son had arranged a rose and bottle of champagne in our room. When we got back other son had had a star named after our daughter who had been victim of cot death 32 years ago.
What unusual gifts have you received for birthdays/anniversarys?
Don't talk about decorating Betty! Just spent the past few weeks decorating the lounge. As hubby works away, I've had to wait until weekends to get anything done as he likes to do it all himself, so it's taken weeks to finally get it finished. New carpet arrives tomorrow so am dreading having to hawk all the furniture out of the lounge. 
And yes it'll be shoes off at the door (till the novelty wears off
