Keith Ann, We stay at the Mar Blau, simply for location. It's on the front, come out of hotel turn left 2 min walk and you are in the Old Town. It is a Onasol Spanish Hotel but plenty of Brits stay there, freindly and clean and very relaxed dining area with buffet style. Plenty of places to choose from very close if the food is not to your liking, but they do cater for the Brits. You can always look at their website. We hope to go back next year, just back 7th-14th Sept, had a great Hol. As i say we like it for location, but i must reccomend that you book a sea veiw room, they have smashing veiws over Parque de Elche and the beach. The rooms at the back overlook a backstreet and it is a bit dreary with no sun getting on them.

Many thanks
Hi Percy123, Thank You very much for the information, we will have a look at the hotel, we went to Old Town Benidorm in August 2012, Loved it Stayed at the Camposol, was ok but not very English friendly for some reason? That's why I posted.
It looked old when I first visited Benidorm in January 1970,We stayed at the Fenicia at that time which is ideal for the old town.I have popped in on return visits to Beinidorm and it looks great.
I would think that most hotels in that area would be more Spanish orientated and have mainly Spanish guests. You'd think you were in Spain in that old town
We've just returned from a week at the Rocamar which is less than a minutes walk to Mal Pas beach by the harbour and a stone's throw from the bars etc in the Old Town. I can't recommend it enough. It is run by a Spanish family but they were very friendly. We've also stayed at the Queens which is now under new management and much improved. I would stay there again. We love the old town and would never wish to stay in the new town. We've already booked our flights for next May and are looking at self-catering apartments in the old town.
