Well.. it seems im going to Benidorm in january, had mum on the phone to say shes booked a weeks holiday for us
Ive had a quick browse through the weather topic, and see it can get pretty cold, not as cold as here though.. i hope!
my question is this... is everything open ie.. pubs, clubs, commedian shows etc? the earliest ive ever been away was in april to salou and just about every where was closed, it will be nice just to get away. was a lovely and unexpected surprise so im not going to moan if this is the case!
It has mostly been around 16C, but last year it was 18-20C and shorts weather.
However we did notice last year that a lot of cabaret bars were very quiet apart from Morgan's which is usually busy.
Thankyou luci ... warmer than i was expecting then!
mitchellclr I'm sure you'll have a good time. The bigger hotels will have entertainment on too so am sure you'll find something to keep you occupied. Enjoy
not all the bars are open but a lot are.
It was quite warm in the daytime, slightly cool at night.
I'm sure you'll have a great time!
i have been many times in jan/feb.nice in day if suns out.cold at night so take warm stuff with you.the bigger bars are not open.the square ones anyway and bigger ones.but still lots open.
can any one tell me if there are any day trips during january.. if so what ones? my mum is more into old buildings/towns/museums etc.. while my daughter and i are more into boat trips, jeep safaris and mountains, is it too early in the seaon for this?

If the Lemon Express is still running - go for it. We had a great day out on it but it was a long while ago.....
Thankyou.. i will enquire about that
The number 10 bus will take you to Albir and Altea for the grand sum of €1.45 each way. Altea has a lovely promenade lined with restaurants and cafes.
Visit one of the Round Town offices for trips. There is one in Rincon opposite the Tavern and one on Calle Gerona opposite the Western Saloon. They also organised free blanket trips which seem popular and apparently there is no pressure to buy, you just have to sit through a presentation.
It is lovely here at the moment with temps 17-20C during the day in the sun. We have been in shorts and T-shirt all week. It's cooler out of the sun and chilly at night.
Thankyou luci.. im really looking forward to it, packed my case today but didnt put any t-shits or shorts in.. thought it would be far too cold, think il go add some, plus my swimming cozzie.. (just incase! )
There were people subathing on the beach and by the pool and there were even people in our pool the crazy so and so's.
If you are eating out I can highly recommend The Vagabond in the Old Town. We had a fantastic meal there which was so good we booked again for the Saturday.
hmmm ok, may ditch the cozzie haha ... will definatley try the vagabond as we are staying near the old town!
