Aerosvit - the Ukrainian carrier has filed for bankruptcy. The company web site states that it intends to continue operating but several of its aircraft have been impounded in various countries and many of its flights are being cancelled. Wizz-air have stepped in to offer "rescue" flights where it operates similar routes, but this involves using Luton for Aerosvit passengers who would normally use Gatwick. It is unclear at the moment (11:51 08/01/2013) whether the Aerosvit Gatwick flights will be operating this week.
