My two daughters and their boyfriends went on the15th to 19th to Euro Disney for my eldest daughters birthday.
I booked it direct with them and they stayed in the Santa Fe Hotel. They have just arrived back and have said that so many of the rides and attractions were shut. Animagique, Casey Jr train, Storybook Land, Buzz Lightyear, Armageddon, Pirates of the Caribbean, Autopia, Studio Tram Tour, Thunder Mountain River Boat, Cine Magigque, River Rouge Keelboats, The dragon under the castle. These were all shut for maintenance.
Then Big Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones and the Motor Stunt Show all broke down. There may have been more closed as i have not had a proper talk with them yet.
I feel so dissapointed for them. No where on the Disney site when you are booking or on any of the info that is sent through after does it say that attractions may be closed in Jan. If they had i would have booked them in for a different time.
We have been to Euro Disney at least 5 times to say nothing of Flordia 6 times and California as well and have never had this happen before so i had no reason to hunt for this information.
I am going to email them to complain. What i would like is some complementary park tickets for them, so i can send them again. I dont feel this is unreasonable and i would be paying for the tunnel and hotel again. No doubt it states somewhere in their 10 pages of terms and conditions that rides can be closed for an but i do feel a bit hard done by. So any advice on how to go about this would be a big help x

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
I will get onto that. Just out now for a belated birthday meal and then i will compose an email.
Even the Disney magic can lose its sparkle ... this is real life, but I understand why your daughters were disappointed.
I think they only had bad snow on one of the days. Still i have no problem sending them again if they will issue some park tickets. Might even be tempted to join them as I have not had a Disney fix for a while
I have just returned from Euro Disney with my partner, 4 year old son and 12 year old daughter and I have to say it was an awful couple of days. We have been on a number of occasions previously and have never had any complaints up until now.
As you mentioned practically every ride was shut in the Disneyland park on every day of our visit and my son and daughter were so upset, it was awful to have travelled so far with them to arrive at the park where all their favourite rides were shut and this was mainly due to maintenance not the weather.
I too have complained to Euro Disney and the travel company that it was booked through, please let me know what response you get and I will do the same.
Many thanks
Mel
I will do Mel . If they had just given people the infomation then they could have made the choice to book or not. x
Just sent a polite email, now lets see how long they take to get back to me
I know someone who went to Alton Towers ( I know its not the same distance/expense to get there - but their kids were really excited to be going) and nearly all the rides there were shut too due to maintenance. She complained - although Im not sure who to and she got all her money back.
I think it's worth sending an email of two but all theme parks have for massive disclaimers regarding rides being closed. I am sure they will have covered it very which way they can. So sorry to hear how it worked out they must have been well disappointed.
Yes I knew that they would be covered in the terms and conditions. That is why I have gone in along the disappointed and let down route. I have not asked for any money back but park tickets enabling them to go again at some stage. We will see but it's worth a try x
Definatley, it wouldn't kill them to give you free park tickets especially as they know that means you are probably going to book another Disney hotel, and buy food and gifts in the park. Fingers crossed for you.
I just wondered if you have had any luck with this? I am still battling with Consort Travel, but am not prepared to give in under these circumstances.
Best wishes
Mel x
I did not ask for any money back as i knew they would be covered under terms and conditions, what have you asked for.
Ok cool. Because it was through an agent I have had to go through them rather than Disney direct, neither are very helpful though. Yes they have covered themselves for everything in their terms and conditions but it still does not make it right, so I trying to get my money back, so far though I have been offered nothing and it will probably end up in arbitration through abta. I will let I know if I get anywhere. Good luck.
So gave them a gentle reminder yesterday and they emailed back this morning and said that 2 days was fine and sorry but they had not received my Feb email.
So thats it i am happy and have a weekend at Disney for 4 to look forward to .
Brilliant news wendywu well done.
