Having just returned after another week at the Hotel Cabello i decided to try out the Cafe Fresco sandwich bar and coffee shop, situated a couple of minutes walk from the Cabello on Calle los Perros 16 i read good reviews on trip advisor so decided to give it a go. Its only been open since the beginning of the year but Tracey and Stephan who run it are very welcoming and very friendly. The sandwiches which are served on a choice of bread are delicious and very good value for money, the daily specials offer something different for 4 euros and are well worth trying, all sandwiches served with lettuce, tomato, and crisps. There is also a range of cakes, pastries, and ice cream, the apple cake and the lemon merangue both served with cream can become very addictive. The cafe is in a great location opposite the beach, is spotless clean and very relaxing. Having tried many different similar types of places i have to say this is the best in La Carihuela.
