cagzy,
Any of the exit (extra legroom) rows onboard the aircraft. There are seat plans linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below) showing their position. It's the 283 seat aircraftyou need.

Could u please help me?
We are flying to Mexico 21 May from London Gatwick
flight number TOM030. Can u tell me are we flying with DREAMLINER
or cos they have been stopped its 767plane?
We want to also book seats together n Dreamliner has 3-3-3
set of seats what happens with our booked seats if we fly
with 767plane where the set is 2-4-2? How they will be allocated?
Many thanks.
Thanks for the info Darren.
Welcome onboard
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM030/1) should have been operated by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. However, as these aircraft remain grounded and have yet to be delivered, it is unlikely your flights will be operated by the 787-8 and is more than likely going to be operated by Boeing 767-300/ER. As yet, Thomson haven't released what their intentions are so you'll just have to wait and see. You should be notified of the aircraft change. When you have access to seat selection, I would choose seats as normal as the correct seat plan for your flight should be uploaded.

I'd already posted it on the
That's what happens when I'm watching athletics and not concentrating!
It's fine, don't worry about removing it. 2 posts are better than 1!
many thanks kane
Thank you for your info.
Yes, I will wait a bit to see what thomson says. However, re booking
seats we want to sit together n now worrying if they change
the plane we will have the same seats?
Many thanks
Kaneohighflyer,
The vast majority of passengers will be seated together, I wouldn't worry. If you select seating together and there's a subsequent change of aircraft, the system should seat you together as part of the allocation.

I am booking my seat and I am thinking of booking a seat at the very back of a Thomson short haul flight plane. Is this a good idea, or is it to near the toilets? I would be grateful of any advice. - thanks
You don't say when you are flying, but seating is personal preference. What you prefer, others may not. Assuming you're traveing on a Boeing 757-200, the toilets aren't located at the rear of the aircraft. However, if you're travelling onboard a Boeing 737-800, they are. If you have access to the seat plan and can post how many seat rows there are, I can confirm it for you. Personally, I tend to avoid the rear of the aircraft where the toilets and galley area are as you tend to get people queing in the isle (if the toilets are located their) or you have all the clater from the crew preparing trollies behind, but that's just me. It's really personal preference though. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our what Aircraft? guide (link below).
EDIT: Your flights are operated by Boeing 737-800 so toilets are located at the rear of the aircraft.

I'm so sorry to be a nuisance and to be so pedantic, but can I just check please, when you say that the fixed armrests are in "Any of the exit (extra legroom) rows onboard the aircraft", then am I correct in assuming Row 32 does NOT have a fixed armrest because it is the row just before the exit (with it's back to the exit) and is not an extra legroom row (row 34 is right on the exit and is the extra legroom row, from looking at the seat plan).
I'm interested in row 32 as it is located before the exit and so reclining the seat would not affect the people in the extra legroom behind.
I'm also interested in row 46 for the same reason about reclining.
Do rows 32 or 46 have any disadvantages, i.e. no window, no recline, fixed armrests, etc?
Also, bit of a daft and embarrassing question, but do the food/drink/duty free trolleys in economy come from the very back of the plane on the ex-TOM 767 v3?
Thanks.
As it's not an exit row, then arm rests aren't fixed, or at least they weren't the last time I was onboard one of those aircraft. They are fixed in the exit rows as it's where the tray tables and IFE screen are stored. They are seat back in standard seats. As I mentioned before, seating is very much personal preference. I sometimes think we read too much in to what are the best or worst seats really, it really doesn't make that much different on the specific seat you're in as they all offer pretty much the same in their respective cabins. What I or others may prefer, you may not. The rows you mention are as good as any others although row 46 is only partial window from memory. Onboard service will normally be from front of the respective cabins working aft. Don't worry, you'll get served regardless of where you sit!
Darren
I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for row 32 and fully recline without any guilt whilst gazing out of the window!!!
Thanks again,
Caroline.
i have personally booked premium seats a little puzzled if every body gets premium on the replacment planes, i understand that the 787 has more thus some people could be disapointed. also is it boeing or thompson that has to reimburce
any help apprecieted
thanks
As far as I'm aware, things are still up in the air so to speak with no further update on what aircraft is being used when as yet. You'll be contacted in due course with information about your flight and any changes. Depending on the aircraft used, there are more premium seats on the current aircraft (ex-FCA), but less economy so something will have to give. I suspect there'll be a reconfiguration to accommodate the needs. The information i'm getting, though is yet to be confirmed, is the 787-8 is unlikely to be in long haul service before the start of the winter season in November 2013. Any reimbursement due will be via Thomson / First Choice as this is who you have your holiday contract with, not Boeing. I'm sure Thomson will be seeking further compensation from Boeing for the latest delays though. You may find this post useful.
Darren
but do you know what time they will go up on Wednesday ? or will they just go up at 12:00am ? or the time my flight departs in PUJ ?
Many thanks,
