"E-mail friend" not working ?

I was reading a thread in the Turkey forum titled "which currency to take ? " and I noticed a link at the top "E-mail friend" which I thought useful, as thats what I wanted to do. When I clicked on it I just got "You are not permitted to send e-mail to this user." I hadn't specified a user, I would have expected it to ask for an e-mail address to send it to. In any case my friend isn't a user anyway, so what is this link supposed to do ?

Its probably just a general permission error, you haven't been singled out
I'll look at this when I get chance and get it working again.
