As the title says................ anyone been at this time of year, any recommendations, and do's and don'ts? Any advice would be most appreciated.

I'm desperately seeking a holiday over the Christmas period (due to OH's company closedown, we can get two weeks away that will only require 2 days from his holiday allowance ).

I've been looking at the Maldives (very expensive, but sooooo tempted), Mexico (not as expensive, quite tempted, but not sure with regard to comments I've read about some US citizens - I know I can walk away from bad behaviour of all nationalities, but due to geography Mexico has high influx of US citizens).

So now here I am looking at Africa again.......... Thanks for reading.
