Hi guys
Can anybody please clarify something for me and my family when we travel to Florida in September.
We have had many conflicting views on this subject and wish to hear from anybody that has stayed in a bronze villa supplied by Thompsons in regard to the deposit scheme and what we should be expecting.
The information we have been told ranges from Credit cards are excepted,debit cards aren't accepted only accepted our credit cards and only debit cards are accepted. Very very confusing
Can anybody clarify this for us because we are very confused about the situation,we have asked Thompsons and get a different answer every time we call a different branch.
With regards to the deposits,could anybody clarify is this debited from my card. So does this mean I need to have those funds available or is my credit card/ debit card just swiped for identification purposes and if there is any problems with the Villa on our departure the deposit is then debited from my account.
Thanks for all your help in advance guys just trying to plan how much credit I need on my credit card or debit card for the trip to Florida.

How/where did you book the holiday. If in a Thomson shop then talk with them. You could spend the price of the holiday on calls and still be no nearer. The shop will have contact numbers not available to you. Alternative if you booked on the net is to go into a shop and ask them to find out. As you say telephoning you get to talk to someone different every time. You could also email them.
Regarding credit on your card that is a personal matter for you but consider but if it is rejected due to lack of funds/credit then that could create even more problems. I can only speak from my time in business but we would normally just take a swipe - but you cannot just assume.There were also just the odd occasions when we put it through and then did a credit at the end of the hire.
Never been to the states but youngest does for both business and pleasure. He always uses a Visa Debit card - he does not have a credit card.
